2025 Gold Medal in Sculpture

Alice Aycock is a recipient of the American Academy of Arts and Letters Gold Medal Award for Sculpture.

In 1909, Arts and Letters inaugurated the Gold Medal, its highest honor, for distinguished achievement in several different categories of the arts by awarding the medal for Sculpture.

Groundswell at the Nasher Sculpture Center

Groundswell: Women of Land Art is on view from September 23rd, 2023 through January 7th, 2024 at the Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas, TX. The 12-artist group exhibition features works made in the late 1960s through 1990 relating to Land Art. Curated by Dr. Leigh A. Arnold and Jana La Brasca.

New sculpture commission and a drawing exhibition at the McNay Art Museum

Devil Whirls is now in the collection of the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, TX. The sculpture is on permanent view on their grounds.

Alice Aycock: Moving Through Time is a survey of drawings spanning five decades. The exhibition was curated by Lyle W. Williams and will be on view through November 26th, 2023.

Alice Aycock: Works on Paper at Marlborough Gallery

A solo exhibition of drawings will be on view at Marlborough Gallery, NY from May 11th through August 15th, 2023.

13 Women at Orange County Museum of Art

For the inaugural exhibition at the Orange County Museum of Art’s new building, Ghosts, from the Series Entitled “How to Catch and Manufacture Ghosts” from 1980 is exhibited in 13 Women through January, 2023. Two drawings are also on view alongside the sculpture, which is part of the museum’s permanent collection.

Land Art & Earthworks at MAMCO Geneva

Sand/Fans is on view as part of a land art and earthworks exhibition through January 29th, 2023. Other artists in this group exhibition include Walter De Maria, Michael Heizer, Nancy Holt, and Dennis Oppenheim. Curated by Paul Bernard, Lionel Bovier, and Sophie Costes.

52 Artists: A Feminist Milestone at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum

This exhibition celebrates the fifty-first anniversary of the historic exhibition Twenty Six Contemporary Women Artists, curated by Lucy R. Lippard and presented at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in 1971. 52 Artists showcases work by the artists included in the original 1971 exhibition, alongside a new roster of twenty-six female identifying or nonbinary emerging artists, tracking the evolution of feminist art practices over the past five decades.

A rendition of Clay #2 is exhibited in the gallery through January 8th, 2023. Untitled Cyclone is on view at the Museum’s Sculpture Garden through April 2023.

Six outdoor sculptures on view at the Royal Djurgården, Stockholm

The exhibition organized by The Princess Estelle Cultural Foundation will be on view near the National Museum of Science and Technology and Rosendal Palace. The walkway along the Djurgården canal is used by nearly 15 million people every year and is one of Sweden’s most visited attractions.

The exhibition takes place from June 7th through September 27th, 2020.
